rio e yuna te amo😭

kat (wroughtofbooks)

It’s Christmas time – this volume was so fluffy! Rio is becoming such a lil’ cinnamon roll。 I love how clingy he is with Yuna, it’s supremely adorable。 There is some family strife in this volume, but overall it’s got that usual saccharine sweet feel。 Yuna cries in joy like 3x if that gives you any indication of what to expect。

Yuna and Rio are dating and they're adorable and fluffy and I'm all for these two getting their happy ending together (though we're only 2/3 of the way through the series, so drama is sure to follow)。Meanwhile, Akari and Inui are currently dealing with the third party shojo conundrum as well as issues at home。 I can share their sentiments of dealing with high expectations, siblings who seem to be a constant source of family drama, and enjoying fiction as a form of escapism。 This series is soooo Yuna and Rio are dating and they're adorable and fluffy and I'm all for these two getting their happy ending together (though we're only 2/3 of the way through the series, so drama is sure to follow)。Meanwhile, Akari and Inui are currently dealing with the third party shojo conundrum as well as issues at home。 I can share their sentiments of dealing with high expectations, siblings who seem to be a constant source of family drama, and enjoying fiction as a form of escapism。 This series is soooo good。This series has 12 volumes。 。。。more

So maybe this is overly dramatic, but the experience of love and hormones and social and self uncertainty was certainly dramatic from the inside when I was experiencing it in high school! So while the stakes are low, the emotions are real。 and the characters and their mixed up knots are engaging。 Love some of the little details and growth, like Rio being totally insufferable about dating someone and wanting to have a romantic Christmas。 I'm sure there will be drama with Rio and Yuna at some poin So maybe this is overly dramatic, but the experience of love and hormones and social and self uncertainty was certainly dramatic from the inside when I was experiencing it in high school! I think I like Rio better as an aloof, self-important, heartbreaker。 This saccharine, love-sick puppy routine is too much! Some interesting developments for our other love struck pair too。 Will Akari or Kazu make the next, first move?

Chapters 29 - 32: This volume focuses more on Akari and Inui but does also have some fun scenes between Yuna and Rio。 The Christmas chapters were really cute。 I am really enjoying this series and seeing how all the characters and their various relationships are continuing to change and develop。

Very cute, fun volume, and a quick read。 I enjoyed reading it。

Another great volume! This one focused on how family fights can effect our teenage main characters。 I was blessed with parents that didn’t fight in front of me and my sister。 I imagine it would be hard to deal with the tension in a household where the parents fought a lot。 But despite all the family drama, there were a bunch of sweet, adorable moments!! I’m hoping things will start looking better for Akari, Rio and Inui in the next volume!

This was such a good volume because of its emotional depth and cute fluffiness。 This series does not disappoint! Be aware this review may have spoilers for everything covered in previous volumes。 I say this is in part a cute and fluffy volume because of the Yuna and Rio scenes。 Now that they have officially gotten together, we get to enjoy the payoff of this relationship。 Since it is Christmas time, the two go on a date which is so damn pure and wholesome as they both are getting closer to one a This was such a good volume because of its emotional depth and cute fluffiness。 This series does not disappoint! Be aware this review may have spoilers for everything covered in previous volumes。 I say this is in part a cute and fluffy volume because of the Yuna and Rio scenes。 Now that they have officially gotten together, we get to enjoy the payoff of this relationship。 Since it is Christmas time, the two go on a date which is so damn pure and wholesome as they both are getting closer to one another。 Also, this will be the last time I mention this, but I REALLY WISH Agatsuma was more of a contender。 I feel so bad for him but that’s how it goes。 The other part of the volume has to deal with parent-child relationships。 On one hand, Akari and Rio’s parents are fighting which makes being at home unbearable for the both of them。 It bears a lot on Akari’s mind which is something no child should have to deal with。 This situation demonstrates how parents may not realize how their fighting ends up affecting their children, especially when parents will try to put up a façade that nothing is wrong。 Also, we also get more insight into Inui’s family situation。 He too has to deal with his parents fighting, but this fighting stems from his brother’s actions to pursue acting。 There is a really good conversation on how we often feel the need to cave into our parents by choosing the safe route in life even though we should be able to choose to pursue what makes us happy。 It was really interesting and heartwarming to see Akari and Inui be able to relate to each other through their family issues and comfort one another。 Overall, this was a really nice volume as usual。 We get Yuna and Rio fluff, as well as progress between Akari and Inui。 Gave it 4。3 stars, but I will bump it up to 5 stars! 。。。more

Yuna y Rio son super cuquis de verdad😭

My heart feels happy when I see Yuna and Rio together! I love it! I love how much he lets her know that he loves her。 It’s very clear。 I would’ve loved that kind of guy for my first love, but I didn’t get so lucky :-/ I’m not sure how I feel about Akari and Inui。 I’m less interested in their story。 But I hope it’s not dragged out。。。

Yuna and Rio are officially a couple and are being very, very couple-y。 It’s a good distraction from Rio and Akari’s home life, which has taken a turn for the worst。 Meanwhile, Kazuomi and Akari dance around their affection for one another, but Christmas looms large on the horizon, as do potential rivals。。。We’re back with another instalment of the melodramatic Io Sakisaka we all know and love - a tale fraught with, as noted, romantic rivals, desperate confessions, tense cliffhangers, and Christm Yuna and Rio are officially a couple and are being very, very couple-y。 It’s a good distraction from Rio and Akari’s home life, which has taken a turn for the worst。 Meanwhile, Kazuomi and Akari dance around their affection for one another, but Christmas looms large on the horizon, as do potential rivals。。。We’re back with another instalment of the melodramatic Io Sakisaka we all know and love - a tale fraught with, as noted, romantic rivals, desperate confessions, tense cliffhangers, and Christmas plans going horribly awry。Except it’s none of those things。Credit where credit is due - this volume is a massive table flip of all the expected tropes that many mangaka and especially this author know and revel in。 It is one of the best arguments I’ve seen for Sakisaka’s true talents as everything here is quite good even with a modest snub of the conventions she relies on。The way the whole rival thing is handled really struck me as great - he apparently wants something back he gave to Akari and, in addition to an excuse to see her, I was waiting for the nauseatingly obvious answer to that whole line when he said it。 It’s dangling right there the entire time。But Akari and Kazuomi have a lot of baggage to unpack at the moment and after Kazuomi has the most ‘I want to punch this book’ moment during a classroom conversation (argh, Kazuomi, you idiot) they are at least honest enough with one another to defuse the whole subplot (with a conclusion that genuinely surprised me)。As for Rio and Yuna, well, they’re encapsulating that ‘new car smell’ you get at the start of a relationship to a nauseating degree。 Yuna’s still a little down on herself, but she’s doing yards better than she used to be。 They are both fairly saccharine together, as it should be。Then Christmas strikes and they all get even worse - the cynic in me thinks having two couples featured in this series was an attempt to get two Christmas dates out of it, but both work because they are so very different。Yuna and Rio are so sweet they’ll rot your teeth, but this is a lot more main couple interaction than I expect from Sakisaka, who has a bad tendency to axe her series just when couples get together。 It’s nice to see her doing something different and it really works in the quiet moments when the two just hang out and talk (one scene at a picnic table is just kind of flat-out pure charm)。 There’s a good chemistry here。*And when disaster strikes。。。 it’s just dealt with, like real people would。 If anything, it pushes our couple even closer together。 It’s such a smart way to implement and address something like this。Meanwhile, Akari and Kazoumi have an accidental date that befits their relationship to this point。 It’s a cute point that these two are clearly, in reality, so alike that they both can’t overcome the same hurdles that would let them be together like they want。 I also appreciate the guest appearance of KFC。Kazoumi gets some long overdue fleshing out here and I’m starting to think (or continue to think, no time to read my old stuff) that Akari is actually the most interesting and complicated character in the book。 She’s definitely got a facade with a lot behind it。4 stars。 Credit to our esteemed creator - when she brings it, she brings it。 This remains the lesser of all her works that I’ve read, but if it had been more like this volume to begin with it might be a whole other story。 It’s really picking up as it goes along (oddly after divesting that stupid step-sibling romance, must be coincidence)。*there is a level of dread that I hope we can ignore where it feels like lightning is going to strike one of these two and send them staggering into the path of truck-kun while falling down the stairs。 。。。more

it pains me to say this but i thought this volume was kinda boring。 i probably wouldn't mind the slower pace if i were binging the series, but since i'm caught up and have to wait a few months for every volume, i get impatient when the relationships don't develop at least a little bit。 vol 8 just feels like more of the same。 Yuna and Rio make me smile but ughhhh the glacial pace of the Akari and Kazuomi relationship is making the story feel like it's dragging unnecessarily。 it pains me to say this but i thought this volume was kinda boring。 i probably wouldn't mind the slower pace if i were binging the series, but since i'm caught up and have to wait a few months for every volume, i get impatient when the relationships don't develop at least a little bit。 vol 8 just feels like more of the same。 Yuna and Rio make me smile but ughhhh the glacial pace of the Akari and Kazuomi relationship is making the story feel like it's dragging unnecessarily。 。。。more

This volume made my heart so happy! It was so sweet, and I loved what was happening with our characters。 We also see what happens to teens in households where parents fight, and I found that to be a touch that was so well thought out。 Please read this series if you aren't。 If you would like my more in depth feelings about this title, please check out this review vlog! https://www。youtube。com/watch?v=-6vAl。。。 This volume made my heart so happy! Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read a digital copy of this book in exchange for a review。 All opinions are my own。Another great volume to this series! On top of the usual adorable strife, which has finally gained some real traction, we get an in-depth look into family life and how both Akari and Kazuomi are dealing with their strained parental relationships。 I'm looking forward to more cuteness in future volumes。 Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read a digital copy of this book in exchange for a review。 All opinions are my own。Another great volume to this series!
